What is this site? The Veterinary IHC Database is an indexing site to help locate veterinary medical providers that offer special services and will also accept outside submissions. These entities are often veterinary colleges or government agencies. The database is primarily oriented to providers in the United States, but links to laboratories in other countries are included. The information is dependent on what is listed online, so please contact me if labs have added or no longer offer services.
Are these paid endorsements? |
I am not paid for providing links to these services. I also cannot comment on the species specificity of the antibodies used (unless noted by the provider) or quality of the services rendered. I cannot advise you on which IHC to pick from the provider list. Please contact the providers directly if you have questions about a specific test.
Why are there no prices for IHCs listed on this site?
Pricing is quite dynamic in the world of veterinary medicine and it would be impossible to keep up with them on this site (as additional fees beyond list price also apply). I will provide external links to the most current (internet-available) price lists for services.
My university has a new IHC and can it be added to the list?
If the antibody is available for submissions outside of your university, yes. Antibodies are costly, so please verify that the private laboratory is willing to collaborate and agrees to have their contact information posted online. Alternatively, if they don't want this information posted publicly, I can relay contact information to select interested parties. If you would like to contact me, please use the Contact page.
What is the password to the "Resident Resources" section of the site?
All of the ACVP boards study materials are password protected to control who has access to this information. The reasoning behind this is that not everyone on the internet (or accessing this site) has a background in pathology and materials were contributed by many universities and individuals for educational purposes only. If you would like access to this aspect of the site, please contact me.
